   Oh the old hippie days of inappropriate attitude, no boundaries, no money, too stoned. Went on for so long. Too much drink, fake friends, violence. is all so sterile now. House, kids, job, car, annual holiday, but thank for youtube. I can live my life through this little screen now! Ah! Much easier than reality.

   Sounds like a a divise called the Meletron a bit. Moody Blues , Steve Miller on early albums,Roxy Music, Mike Oldfield, used it. Led Zep used on on No Quater. Has an unusal almost orchestra sound depending how its played.Has tapes build into it i think as well.
   Also i guess they used the standard Hammond organ like Deep Purple.

Sounds like someone set a boom box in the bottom of a 200-gallon steel drum, cranked the volume to 11, hit the Play button, and then put the lid back on and recorded the resulting cacophony through the drain plug using a straw and a tin funnel for an “microphone.” And yet Hawkwind still sounds great! NIce job!
