Can you help me brainstorm a good icing to go with coconut cupcakes?

I just made the most awesome homemade coconut cupcakes and I’m looking for the perfect icing. They are for friends who are going to Maui for their 6th anniversary.
Now what kind of icing goes with coconut cupcakes? I thought of pineapple, but there’s a lot of pineapple going on at this dinner party already.
thanks
raspberry or cherry icing with shredded coconut mixed into it or sprinkled on top. you can simply put extract into plain white icing then add food coloring to give the right color. they also make these flavored syrup but that is really expnsive 20-30 $$$$
I would try cream cheese

Cream cheese icing…MMM, goes good on anything…Here’s how you make it
1 8oz block of cream cheese (Preferably room temperature)
2 tablespoon of butter (Preferably room temperature)
1 cup of powdered or confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon of Pure vanilla extract
Just mix all these together in a bowl and you have the perfect icing for ANYTHING!!
It is easier to have the cream cheese and butter at room temperature, becasue it blends better with the powdered sugar and doesn’t form any clumps. Also, if you have time and the equipment sift the powdered sugar to help avoid clumps as well. Good luck, and I hope this icing is perfect! !

I would do a real clean pineapple, like crushed and jelled, but not sweetened or very lightly sweetened or maybe sweetened with honey or brown sugar. Coconut cupcakes, what a great idea. Yum!
Or go daiquiri and add dark rum to the pineapple icing. So many ideas! I must make my next cake coconut. Thanks!

COCONUT-CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in skillet. Add coconut; stir constantly over low heat until golden brown. Spread coconut on absorbent paper to cool. Cream 2 teaspoons butter with cream cheese. Add milk and sugar alternately, beating well. Add vanilla; stir in 1 3/4 cups of coconut. Spread on tops and sides of cake layers. Sprinkle with remaining coconut.

A simple white icing with toasted coconut across the top sounds good to me. If you have awesome cupcakes, you don’t want the icing to overpower or compete with them.

Try cream cheese icing.:
Beat together an 8 ounce pkg. soft cream cheese,1 1/2 cups icing sugar, and 1 tsp. vanilla until smooth.
It’s fantastic and works with coconut. I did it with coconut cake.
